The Hydro-None Kit

Want to stick it to The Man?  If you answer with a resounding “Hell Yes”, the Hydro-None kit is for you! The name may be confusing for those that do not live in Ontario; our largest electrical provider is named “Hydro-One”. Hence the name of our kit. Now, depending on your energy use this kit may or may not be enough to offset your entire use. The average monthly energy use for a Canadian household is around 1000 kWh/month, and that is what this kit will produce for the southern parts of Canada. This kit also adds battery backup power, either to get you through the times the grid takes an unscheduled nap, or to (as much as possible) use the energy you produce yourself, rather than the grid. This kit does not Cut The Cord, it is meant to be used with a grid connection. Going completely off-grid is possible, though generally not financially viable.  14,760 Watt in solar PV, 10,000 Watt grid-tie hybrid inverter, 10 kWh lithium-ion battery storage. Can produce up to 17,600 kWh/year (for a good south-facing roof in southern/eastern Ontario). This kit can be used for a Net-Metering system, while staying within the 10kW limit (determined by the inverter).
