The Alaskanada Kit

Our Alaskanada Kit squarely aims at those Alaskans that would much rather be Canadians, and let’s be honest, wouldn’t they all?! How does free healthcare, legal weed, bagged milk, democracy, maple syrup, beaver tails, and quality public schools sound? Pretty great, right? And let’s not forget—your neighbors would be far more polite and significantly less likely to shoot you (and if they did, they’d at least apologize). Wouldn’t it be nice if your leaders were a little less orange and had a bit more hair? Still not convinced? Just take a look at the map—Alaska and Canada are practically a match made in maple heaven. “Alaskanada” was always meant to be Canada’s 11th province. It’s divine providence. Join us. We have poutine. With an 10 kW inverter and 2,800 Watt in solar PV this off-grid kit is for those that like to live a little larger and overindulge at times. It is also easily extended if your energy needs border on the obese. You can expect this kit to produce around 7.5 kWh/day in summer, and 3.7 kWh/day in winter (assuming panels mounted facing south, with good sun exposure, at a steep tilt-angle for winter, and kept snow-free). More panels can be added for those that like to live a little larger. This kit is CSA code-compliant, including UL9540, and if installed according to electrical code should pass electrical inspection. Pallet & Repacking Fee Please note that a $45 “Pallet and Repacking Fee” will be added for all partial pallets with solar panels (i.e. anything less than a full skid of panels). We will be happy to refund this fee if you bring the pallet back to us in good shape, so it can be re-used. This fee is needed to cover our cost of having custom oversized pallets made to ship solar panels on (and those pallets cost us well over $50 each!). The kit includes: 1x Lux Power LXP-LB-US-10K, All-In-One 10kW pure-sine inverter, 48V DC in, 240 VAC split-phase out 8x Longi LR5-54HPB-410M, 410 Watt, 54-cell (108 split-cell) mono PV module, black-on-black 1x Volthium 51.2-100-RH-3U-C, lithium-ion 48 Volt deep-cycle, 100Ah, 6000 cycles, 4 6 years warranty 1x IMO SI32-PEL64R-2, 2-pole (1 string) PV disconnect, 600 VDC, 32 Amp 1x Inverter cables 2/0 AWG, 7 ft (pair), DLO flexible wire with 3/8″ lugs, CSA listed, black 1x set of MC4 Extension wires for PV modules, 20′ PV-Wire, red & black, MC4 connectors one side This kit provides the parts needed to make a code-compliant off-grid system (in fact, the Lux Power inverter can be grid-tied as well, and backfeed the grid if needed). The Lux Power all-in-one inverter makes installation easy! Please keep in mind that the inverter itself uses roughly 1 – 1.5 kWh/day, leaving around 7.2 – 7.7 kWh/day usable for summer and 2.8 – 3.4 kWh/day for winter. There is room to add more solar PV. Racking is not provided; this kit could be installed ground-mounted or on a roof. We can provide the parts needed for both. The kit as it is configured is just one possibility.
