This is Kinetic’s “larger panel” ground mount, with modules installed in portrait orientation. Solar PV modules are getting ever wider/larger! This ground mount is meant to accommodate panels from 1061mm x 2450mm to 1160mm x 2450mm. There are two exceptions: the 10- and 32-panel versions can only handle modules up to 1144mm wide. Kinetic’s ground mount is made to last! With a hot-dip galvanized steel frame, aluminum rails, and stainless-steel hardware. These ground mounts put the solar panels at a fixed 40-degree tilt-angle (great for year-around production for grid-tie systems in southern Canada!). These ground mounts come in increments of 2 panels, and panels are installed in portrait orientation (short side down). The open structure with minimal shading to the backside of panels also makes this ground mount work well for bi-facial modules. This ground mount is designed for high-wind areas, and supports a snow load up to 2.5 kPa (Ground Snow Load) / 1.04 kPa (ULS), and wind load up to 1.0 kPa (hourly base wind pressure).
