A rare and superb Empire style rosewood centre table of imposing proportions. The re-polished top has a brass studded edging and sits above a trio of mythical beast legs. Scrolled to the shoulder with gilded lozenges curving down to the knee and then onto the gilded clawed feet with more gilded decoration to the shins. Would originally have been placed freestanding in an entrance hall to a fine property as the first thing that you see on entering , likely with a display of flowers. An absolute statement piece in super condition and ready to use.
